Take advantage of the Fairfax County student holiday and join us between 2:30pm and 4:30pm for an afternoon dedicated to advanced Math and Language Arts games and activities.


We will have challenging puzzles and strategy games for grades 2-9—plus a raffle for a chance to win one of our world famous math textbooks!

Come meet our teachers, parents, and staff, and see for yourself how much fun Math and Language Arts can be.

FCPS 2015 School Board election results


Currently we are faced with the fight to change the current school board and the direction they want to take the public school education for our children and our communities. Can we do it? Yes we can ! Is it going to be a uphill fight? yes it is! Will petty politics come into play ? Of course it will but we can to do it united as one community.


Note our very Dranesville Representative, Jane Strauss, in her past elections she ran as the fighter and protector of the Great Falls Boundaries staying intact. Now that she is retiring she is working with the board in changing the boundary policy that would effectively split Great Falls. The irony in that is mind blowing!


Breakdown of 2015 Election - Dranesville District


McLean 25% of total votes
3670 voted Strauss 56%
2869 votes Kurzenhauser 44%
That is 801 vote difference


Langley 58% of total votes
7665 voted Strauss
7261 voted Kuzenhauser
That is 404 vote difference


Herndon 17% of total votes
2750 voted Strauss
1659 voted Kuzenhauser
That is a 1091 vote difference


The number of votes allocated above for the 2015 school board race total 28,000, but there are some 80,000 registered voters in Dranesville! So in 2015 was only 35% turnout.. And Strauss won by 2k or about 2.5% of 80,000
So we just need 5% turnout in our favor to match the 2k and raise another 2k.

There is a lot of nonsense being communicated but let’s stay focused and change the board not our boundaries.

(January 22, 2020) Newport Academy Appeal Public Hearing

Newport Academy's appeal of the 3 properties on Davidson Rd. has been reschedule for January 22. Newport Academy has appealed that they can indeed operate three treatment centers next to each other "by right" and do not need a special permit from the county. January 22 is also the date of the Kurtz Rd. appeal. Please consider signing up to speak for 3 minutes at the public hearing on January 22 and support your community.

You are able to sign up to speak at the Davidson Rd appeal AND the Kurtz Rd appeal, which are on the same day.
