7/19/2019 (World Journal) 編譯孫梁  川普政府考慮把明年接納的難民人數幾乎降至零。(TNS) 川普政府考慮把明年接納的難民人數幾乎降至零；三位知情者表示，在上周召開的有關難民問題的重要會議上，與白宮移民顧問米勒關係密切的一位公民及移民服務局(USCIS)代表建議，明年把接納的難民歸零，而國土安全部的代表則提議，難民接納人數保持在3000到1萬人。 20名與會者上周出席了這場難民問題會議，國防部的代表對難民歸零的建議感到震驚，他們不願看到停止接納冒生命危險幫助美軍的伊拉克難民。 川普政府今年已把難民人數大砍三分之一，減至3萬人。 如果川普政府停止接納難民，數千個等候處理的難民將受到影響，安置部門未來的安置能力也將受害。 國務院拒絕對停止接納難民做出回應，與會的國土安全部、司法部、國防部和國家安全委員會都沒有回應。 USCIS的扎卓茲尼(John Zadrozny)和國務院的維普雷克(Andrew Veprek)在會上表示，鑑於安全隱憂以及為申請庇護的移民提供人道保護影響了美國的接納能力，應降低接納難民的上限；扎卓茲尼和維普雷克都是移民強硬派米勒的盟友。 12/31/2018 By John Binder  Wrapping up 2018, the Trump administration admitted about 22,900 refugees to the U.S. with more than 70 percent of those refugees being Christians. Meanwhile, less than 15 percent of the refugees admitted this year were Muslim. In total, Trump decreased the 2016 inflow of refugees under Obama — when nearly 97,000 refugees were admitted — by about 76 percent. The refugee totals for this year represent the largest reduction to admissions in the program in nearly four decades. This year, Trump continued reversing the Obama era trend of massive Muslim shares of refugee admissions and small totals of Christian refugees. Less than 3,500 Muslim refugees were admitted this year through the State Department program, a more than 93 percent drop since 2016. Under Obama, Christians made up less than 40 percent of all annual refugee admissions. Today, Christians account for nearly 70 percent of all refugees resettled across the country. Texas, Washington, California, New York, Ohio, and Arizona all resettled more than 1,000 refugees each this year while Hawaii and Wyoming did not resettle any. Since 2008, the U.S. has resettled more foreign nationals through a variety of humanitarian programs than the entire population of Philadelphia, totaling more than 1.7 million refugees admitted to the country in less than ten years. There have been more than 4.1 million legal immigrants admitted to the U.S. from refugee-producing countries since 2000. About 56 percent of households headed by foreign refugees who arrived in the U.S. between 2011 and 2015 are using taxpayer-funded food stamps, Breitbart News previously reported.
