(Fairfax, VA) Falls Church Community votes to keep "Stuart" High School By Eric Smith 9/17/2017 Just wanted to share the great news. "Stuart" won the renaming contest at JEB Stuart High School today. (See results here). We are not happy nor content about JEB becoming headless, but this is a major victory of stopping the lying, cheating, dishonest, and poisonous NAACP activists who almost won with two nominated names they backed. The school board can still reject the ballot outcome of headless "Stuart". But it will be hard because it was they themselves that offered to put headless Stuart on the ballot. It is said that just renaming the school to headless Stuart will only cost half the amount of money. The funny sad thing is all the whining liberals will now back off their pledge to do massive fund raising to rename the school, so the renaming cost will likely be 100% taxpayer now (instead of 90%). But just for the record and those keeping track, the renaming of JEB Stuart High School is still unjust, unfair and a waste of educational money: - 90% of the students polled in 2016 either liked the name or saw no compelling need. - The school is comprised of 75% minorities from 80 different countries and there were never any complaints or issues with the name until a handful of activists started making noise two years ago. - 10,000 FOIAs of school board emails revealed that Sandy Evans and Patty Hines colluded with outside activists to ram it through. - School board did not adhere to policies and regulations, and when confronted they either changed the rules or still ignored them. - Students opposing the name change were intimidated and threatened into silence, and when confronted with this news the school board did nothing. - Students also complained about larger class sizes and rats and cock roach infestations and thought the school board had poor priorities. - Besides an overwhelming opposition to the name change by the community, many African Americans were against the name change. - The name change is estimated to cost one million dollars, and this does not include $200,000 in new spirit wear that students must pay out of pocket, of which many are poor minority student in JEB Stuart High School. - The school board has set a new (and bad) precedent for renaming 30 other schools in Fairfax County with politically incorrect names related to slavery at a cost to 10 to 20 million dollars (Robert E. Lee, Jefferson, Madison, and Mount Vernon High Schools). There are so many things wrong with renaming JEB Stuart High School. But at least tonight the Sandy Evans and her rotten friends were not rewarded for their misdeeds. Such is the disdain for Sandy Evans that there are strong rumors of Mason District launching a recall effort of her. Couldn't happen to a nicer person.
