America's Second Civil War

"They had found a leader, Robert E. Lee -- and what a leader! ... No military leader since Napoleon has aroused such enthusiastic devotion among troops as did Lee when he reviewed them on his horse Traveller."

So wrote Samuel Eliot Morison in his magisterial "The Oxford History of the American People" in 1965.

First in his class at West Point, hero of the Mexican War, Lee was the man to whom President Lincoln turned to lead his army. But when Virginia seceded, Lee would not lift up his sword against his own people, and chose to defend his home state rather than wage war upon her.

This veneration of Lee, wrote Richard Weaver, "appears in the saying attributed to a Confederate soldier, 'The rest of us may have ... descended from monkeys, but it took a God to make Marse Robert.'"

Growing up after World War II, this was accepted history.

Yet, on the militant left today, the name Lee evokes raw hatred and howls of "racist and traitor." A clamor has arisen to have all statues of him and all Confederate soldiers and statesmen pulled down from their pedestals and put in museums or tossed onto trash piles.

What has changed since 1965?

It is not history. There have been no great new discoveries about Lee.

What has changed is America herself. She is not the same country. We have passed through a great social, cultural and moral revolution that has left us irretrievably divided on separate shores.

And the politicians are in panic.

Two years ago, Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe called the giant statues of Lee and "Stonewall" Jackson on Richmond's Monument Avenue "parts of our heritage." After Charlottesville, New York-born-and-bred McAuliffe, entertaining higher ambitions, went full scalawag, demanding the statues be pulled down as "flashpoints for hatred, division, and violence."

Who hates the statues, Terry? Who's going to cause the violence? Answer: The Democratic left whom Terry must now appease.

McAuliffe is echoed by Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam, the Democratic candidate in November to succeed McAuliffe. GOP nominee Ed Gillespie wants Monument Avenue left alone.

The election is the place to decide this, but the left will not wait.

In Durham, North Carolina, our Taliban smashed the statue of a Confederate soldier. Near the entrance of Duke University Chapel, a statue of Lee has been defaced, the nose broken off.

Wednesday at dawn, Baltimore carried out a cultural cleansing by taking down statues of Lee and Maryland Chief Justice Roger Taney who wrote the Dred Scott decision and opposed Lincoln's suspension of the right of habeas corpus.

Like ISIS, which smashed the storied ruins of Palmyra, and the al-Qaida rebels who ravaged the fabled Saharan city of Timbuktu, the new barbarism has come to America. This is going to become a blazing issue, not only between but within the parties.

For there are 10 Confederates in Statuary Hall in the Capitol, among them Lee, Georgia's Alexander Stephens, vice president to Jefferson Davis, and Davis himself. The Black Caucus wants them gone.

Mount Rushmore-sized carvings of Lee, Jackson and Davis are on Stone Mountain, Georgia. Are they to be blasted off?

There are countless universities, colleges and high schools like Washington & Lee named for Confederate statesmen and soldiers. Across the Potomac from D.C. are Jefferson Davis Highway and Leesburg Pike to Leesburg itself, 25 miles north. Are all highways, streets, towns and counties named for Confederates to be renamed? What about Fort Bragg?

On every Civil War battlefield, there are monuments to the Southern fallen. Gettysburg has hundreds of memorials, statues and markers. But if, as the left insists we accept, the Confederates were traitors trying to tear America apart to preserve an evil system, upon what ground do Democrats stand to resist the radical left's demands?

What do we do with those battlefields where Confederates were victorious: Bull Run, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville?

"Where does this all end?" President Trump asked.

It doesn't. Not until America's histories and biographies are burned and new texts written to Nazify Lee, Jackson, Davis and all the rest, will a newly indoctrinated generation of Americans accede to this demand to tear down and destroy what their fathers cherished.

And once all the Confederates are gone, one must begin with the explorers, and then the slave owners like Presidents Washington, Jefferson and Madison, who seceded from slave-free Britain. White supremacists all.

Andrew Jackson, Henry Clay of Kentucky and John Calhoun must swiftly follow.

Then there are all those segregationists. From 1865 to 1965, virtually all of the great Southern senators were white supremacists.

In the first half of the 20th century, Woodrow Wilson and FDR carried all 11 states of a rigidly segregationist South all six times they ran, and FDR rewarded Dixie by putting a Klansman on the Supreme Court.

While easy for Republicans to wash their hands of such odious elements as Nazis in Charlottesville, will they take up the defense of the monuments and statues that have defined our history, or capitulate to the icon-smashers?

In this Second American Civil War, whose side are you on?

Boston Free Speech Rally & Protests - 8/19/2017

It was a "set up" in Charlottesville

This guy telling it straight! It was a "set up" in Charlottesville.

The United States is brewing a bigger conflict, missing only a fuse

查尔斯·莱恩Charles Ryan

an ordinary American

At about 11:40 am on the morning of August 12, the first amendment to the US Constitution came to an end.

There is no funeral march, no lengthy epitaph, no newspaper for it to board an obituary, no one at the grave for her to say good words.

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe fired a shot at the core of the American way of life.

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, picture from the network

People always think that the first amendment gives freedom of expression freely, even if the content of the expression is unpopular, and even sounds offensive or rude. People often say, "I do not agree with you, but I swear to defend your right to speak."

In the past, many people agree that this is our law to defend the values. But in recent months, the situation is changing. Scholars have repeatedly stressed that if some of the specific words together, and then thrown out to attack others, will be regarded as "hate speech (hate speech)". And they pushed through a large number of laws to protect the poor and the weak from such attacks.

When a group of different white people gathered in Charlottesville (Charlottesville), their intention is only to protest the city of Charlottesville to tear down the statue of General Robert Lee. General Lee was one of the leaders of the Confederation. These protesters believe that the city government collusion with the parties to tear down the statue just to achieve a purpose, that is to destroy the identity of the white.

The event organizers carefully studied the city government, the state government and even the federal red tape, with the support of the American Civil Liberties Union to win a lawsuit. They also plan to publish a series of speeches and parade.

Unfortunately, the speeches and the demonstrations were not realized, and they were destroyed by the people who claimed to be anti-fascist (Antifa). Antifa and a group of liberal joint operations, at 10 am on the influx of the original planned parade. After the occupation of the venue, began to defend the defenders of the general abuse of Li, and even the defenders throw items and even urine.

The rally in the opposition to demolish the statue, the picture comes from the network

At 11:40, before the planned march began, the governor declared that the confrontation in Charlottesville was defined as state state of emergency and that military martial law began in the area. To know that the governor had supported the demands of these people.

After the announcement of the state of emergency, the police quickly approach, will gather to disperse, forcing participants to give up their rally has not yet begun, trampling their position, hurt their personal property. Many people did not expect the governor to be capricious, so was arrested.

This is a perfect case of "heckler's veto". The so-called questioner veto, that is, when you do not agree with the speaker's point of view, you use some "means" to let them mute.

In Charlottesville, Antifa and the liberals seized the protesters' reservation site, violating the rights of the protesters to express their personal views by means of violence. This torn the American utopian lies. Indeed, some protesters are extremist, and their words and deeds are both provocative and controversial. But Antifa appearance is certainly the main reason leading to the situation out of control.

Governor McAuliffe unilaterally engaged in democratic protests and prevented people from expressing different opinions. This trampling on the spirit of the Constitution in our government to exercise authority!

The slogan of the Washington Post is the death of democracy in the dark. On August 12, our country appeared dark, and democracy had gone on the way to death.

So what will this conflict go from? Neither side wants to retreat. National Socialism traditionalist workers' party leader Helmachbach declared that this was not the end, it was only the beginning. He has made it clear that we will not retreat and have been planning a greater parade.

National Socialist Traditional Workers' Party Leader Heimbach, picture from the network

The United States is gradually becoming a battlefield, a variety of ideologies will usher in a decisive battle, this war will determine the country's future.

Once the struggle will return, nationalism, Marxism, the protection of tradition, the revolutionary movement ... ... everyone is guessing in the end who will win. The leftists grew up under the cover of media, academia and various interest groups. The right-wing groups inherited the glorious traditions of the fathers, and formed militia groups in various places. The winner can reshape the country with his own ideology. Who do not know who will win the final victory.

But one thing is yes, that is, the constitution is dead. When a great thing happens, a lot of people are not aware of it. But after a few years later people look back, you will find the first in Charlottesville quietly fell to the ground. And the death of the Constitution will undoubtedly affect the future of the United States and the international situation for decades.

There's a lot at stake in this election, including our county's merit-based system. The seemingly increasing articles I am seeing about discrimination thru racial balancing in magnet/AP schools is concerning. I have twin half sisters who are half Chinese and are currently 9 years old. They already take their studies seriously and work hard to do well. My step mom makes a concerted effort to ensure they prioritize education and studying. To think they could be prevented from achieving their educational goals on the basis of race, regardless of their preparation, is maddening".

Fairfax County Republican Committee Endorsement of Chris Grisafe for School Board At-Large

Both Jeanette and sitting School Board Member Elizabeth Schultz spoke highly of Chris. Chris expressed his sincere gratitude and spoke about how eager he was to get to work to improve the lives of every child and parent in the county through a better school system.

After the endorsement, FCRC Chairman Matt Ames said, “I’ve known Chris for many years, and he will be an outstanding School Board member.  He will bring the same kind of respectful, courteous, and effective questioning of the status quo that Jeanette Hough exemplified.  Chris knows from his own life experience the value of a strong education, and he is determined to make sure that the Fairfax County Public Schools continue to live up to their reputation.”

Chris Grisafe Announces Run for

Fairfax County School Board At-Large Seat

Veteran & national security professional seeks to

“protect excellence in FCPS”

FAIRFAX, VA, May 31, 2017 –

Chris Grisafe has announced he is running for the Fairfax County School Board at-Large position for the upcoming special election to be held this summer. The date of the special election, which has not yet been determined, will be set by the Chief Judge of the Circuit Court in accordance with Virginia law.

The seat is currently held by Jeanette Hough, who was elected in 2015, and will be vacated as of May 31, 2017. Hough has announced she must leave the School Board position governing Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) as a result of her husband's service. The family is being transferred overseas.

A national security professional and veteran, Grisafe said he's running because "I want to protect the excellence in Fairfax County Public Schools." With a special election taking place in the summer, Grisafe will focus on reaching out to voters during a time when most Fairfax County residents are not thinking about returning to the voting booth.

"FCPS must continue to provide a high quality education that prepares all students for the modern workforce, higher education, and the pursuit of responsible citizenship,” added Grisafe, who also serves as a volunteer advisor and mentor to college students.

Having tragically lost his mother early in life, "I cannot overstate the importance and influence of the many teachers and mentors who have been consequential guide posts in my life," said Grisafe. "I know personally how important it is to empower and educate our students so they can lead successful and meaningful lives."

Among the nation’s largest school systems, Fairfax County Public Schools has been ground zero for social and academic experimentation. "A local school board's emphasis must be on the students," Grisafe added regarding his desire to run.

Talking from personal experience, he said he was greatly influenced by dedicated teachers and mentors to succeed in community college, serve in the U.S. Coast Guard, graduate from Loyola Marymount University and earn an MBA from Virginia Tech.

“It is imperative that we keep FCPS focused on its primary mission – to provide a high-quality education,” said Grisafe.  The current School Board’s May 25th vote to balance the budget for the next fiscal year by increasing class size is just one example of why “Fairfax County needs an at-Large School Board Member who will insist on evidence-based data in its decisions to benefit all of our students.”

Prioritizing rigor in the curriculum, workforce and college readiness means “the School Board must focus on good metrics, eliminating redundancy and encouraging efficiency,” said Grisafe "to enable FCPS to allocate our precious resources where they are needed most - for our teachers and our students in the classroom.”

Parents and community members have often been frustrated with by the School Board’s focus on issues other than student academic achievement. Fairfax County voters overwhelmingly rejected a Meals Tax Referendum last November which was advertised ostensibly to add the tax, in part at least, for education needs.

"I will approach policy matters with an open mind and seek to understand issues with compassion," said Grisafe. "Still, the focus must always be on the merits those issues and the data to support good decision-making."

Once the date of the special election is set by the court, Fairfax County residents will elect the new at-Large School Board Member to serve the balance of Hough’s term, which ends in November 2019. All registered voters in Fairfax County are able to vote for an at-Large candidate.
