SENIOR ACCOUNTANT OPPORTUNITY in GAITHERSBURG, MD

International pharmaceuticals group, with their HQ in China, is opening up a new position within their US-based accounting group for a Mandarin Chinese-fluent SENIOR ACCOUNTANT. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and rapidly growing company focused on developing and commercializing products in a pre-IPO environment. Reporting to the Controller, the ideal candidate will be familiar with US GAAP and IFRS standards; be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the close process as week as analysis and review of the financial statements; and have experience working with an international company. 

Worksite in Gaithersburg. 

Salary range: $90k - $95k.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for numerous day-to-day accounting activities including, but not limited to, assisting with annual audit procedures, developing new accounting procedures, reconciling account balances, reviewing account reconciliations, performing account analysis, and preparation and review of journal entries and supporting schedules
  • Responsible for maintaining general ledger account information within accounting system
  • Responsible for accuracy of intercompany cross charges and allocation
  • Prepare and review financial information for quarterly and year-end audit including footnote support schedules
  • Document monthly close processes and procedures
  • Work closely with payroll team to understand ADP system logic, deductions, etc. to ensure proper accounting treatment
  • Variance analysis
  • Communicate with other departments as needed to ensure financial information is accurate as of each period end


REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelors in Accounting or related discipline; CPA/CPA-in-progress preferred

· 5+ years of progressive experience, preferably within an international and/or publicly-traded company

· Experience with large ERP system preferred (NetSuite, Oracle, PeopleSoft)

· Because the literature and reports are in Chinese, fluency in Chinese would be highly preferred

Responsibilities

Perspecta (with a workforce of approximately 14,000 employees) has an immediate need for a Software Engineer in McLean, VA. 


Experienced software developer to work on Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) systems to support aviation safety research. Candidate is expected to be adventurous with new tools/technologies, propose innovative solutions, take reasonable risks and relentlessly eliminate manual processes.


Qualifications

Required:

A Bachelor’s Degree with 5 to 8 years’ experience or 3 to 5 years’ experience with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.

  • Utilize C# (.NET core/standard) and SQL to implement ETL solutions which will be deployed to an OpenShift (Kubernetes/Docker) cluster via Ansible.
