Early Registration for the Fun Science summer camp will be ended 3/10/2019.  We will be at the Herndon location this weekend.  Please feel free to stop by.  The registration form is attached.

Friday: 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Saturday: 8:30am to 7:00pm
Sunday: 8:30am to 12:30pm

Come visit us every Saturday and Sunday

(8:30 am to 12:30 am) at 503 Carlisle Dr., Room 275, Herndon, VA 20170.   

There is easy access from Route 7100/286 (Fairfax County PKWY) and is right off Elden Street.

The Discover Learning Center 2019 Summer Camp provides your child with a fun, enriching learning experience at a cheaper price. This summer program is designed to give students knowledge and experience concerning Science Olympiad, MathCounts, Critical thinking and various technologies. Concurrently, we will engage in courses in writing, reading, and math. Discover Learning Center is a fulfilling learning environment with devoted teachers that are carefully selected. Not only are they teachers but also are role models for our students.

Every morning: the program will cover English reading comprehension, writing and grammar for two hours, math for two hours. The curriculums, lessons plan and materials in English and Math classes carry on with the high quality at Discover Learning Center during summer camp.  The students will have a recess between the two classes.  For details of each grade, please see below.  

Afternoon Team Activities: The students will be in the big hallway, outdoors doing the projects and competitions, which they love the most.  They don’t want to leave earlier.  We posted the pictures and videos on Discover Learning Center Instagram: discover386.  Please follow us.

Half/Full Day Summer Camp Sessions 

(Full Day: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm) 

(Half Day: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 12:30pm, or 1:30pm to 5:30pm)

Extended Care:

Monday to Friday, 5:30pm to 6:30pm: Session 1 ($140), Session 2 ($150), Session 3 ($150)

Session 1: 06/17/2019 to 07/05/2019 (3 weeks, no class on 7/4/2018)

Session 2: 07/08/2019 to 07/26/2019, (3 weeks)

Session 3: 7/29/2019 to 8/16/2019 (3 weeks)

Early Registration before 3/10/2019

Up to $70 discount by received the Registration form and Full Payment before 3/10/2019 (see the details in the schedule)

The registration fee for summer camp: $30 per student, it is non-refundable

The price includes tuition and snacks, does not include books.

Weekly Tuition: 120% of per week in session tuition

Daily Tuition: 140% of per day in session tuition

Multiple Sessions discount: -$30.00, starting from the 2nd session for every session.

Sibling Discount: -$30.00 for the second child per session

The Late Registration fee will be charged after 5/18/2019: +$100.00 per student, per session, it is non-refundable

Lunch: Students can order lunch from our center.  We will post the lunch menu weekly on Instagram (Instagram ID: discover386)

Daily Schedule:

8:15 am to 8:30 am: Drop off time

8:30 am to 12:30 pm: two hours English class, two hours Math class, a recess between the two classes.

12:30pm to 1:30pm: Lunch

1:30 pm to 3:30 pm:  two hours Science Olympiad project and competition, or Mathcounts competition

3:30 to 5:30: Team-building activities and competitions.

Security, Safety and Health:

Student’s security, Safety and health are the top priorities at Discover Learning Center.  We follow the Fairfax County public school security, safety and health regulations.  Students are supervised by Discover Learning Center staffs on the campus.
