6/15/2018 Last night the Fairfax County School Board voted to adopt a slew of dangerous changes to the Family Life Education curriculum, and every single Virginian should be concerned. Among the changes are:
Our Grassroots Coordinator, Sean Maguire, along with our team, was at the School Board meeting with over 65 other pro-family activists wearing green. You can read his blog post about the event here. Incredibly, the School Board ignored countless parents and families in voting 10-2 to adopt these changes because, according to one of the Board members during the meeting, the subject matter experts “know far better” than parents. The Family Foundation is encouraged by how many parents, community members, and church leaders in Fairfax County have gotten involved with this issue. Over 1,000 e-mails were sent in the thirty-day comment period. Bishop Burbidge of the Arlington Diocese sent letters to every priest in Fairfax. Pastors like Marty Baker spoke publicly about this issue and urged his entire congregation to take action. When the ten school board members face re-election in 2019, we look forward to this same level of engagement from the community. We also recognize that this is not just a Fairfax problem. It’s a statewide problem, and that is why we are urging our representatives in Richmond to make Family Life Education an “Opt-In” program, rather than “Opt-Out,” which will require a parent’s permission to teach their children about issues involving human sexuality. You can sign our petition to make FLE Opt-In online now. Making FLE Opt-In protects parental authority for the direction of their children’s education. An Opt-In FLE curriculum says that parents are the educational experts that school boards must listen to – not the other way around. By Eric Johnson Year Round Halloween Costume Party in the Schools The June 14 Fairfax County School Board (FCSB) Meeting was a packed and rowdy house split between those who basically disagree over the definition and criteria for mental illness, and whether society should be forced to accommodate the fake science of those who claim to be any sex they want based on their feelings. Half of the raucous audience and speakers at the school board meeting felt like there is nothing wrong with making Halloween costume parties year round in the order to pursuit a sex ideology (aka, letting kids with still developing brains believe they can choose their sex), while they ignore the high injury and mortality rate caused by their advocacy. The other half just wants their kids to get a basic education without harassment, prejudice, and being dumbed into imbecility so that they have a chance at succeeding in a highly competitive global market.
Ironically, it was the year round Halloween costume party advocates that invoked local “religious” and “moral” authorities who say God and Jesus wants kids to be any sex they want (while skipping over the 10 Commandments, including Thou Shall Not Lie) (See LGBT Ministers speaking at the meeting on spiritual relativism athttps://youtu.be/w66v7m1OtSk?t=3495 and https://youtu.be/w66v7m1OtSk?t=3884 ). Perhaps this is why the school board voted to keep clergy in the FLE as a source of trusted adults that struggling and confused kids can approach.
They then even provided living proof of "happy transgenders," while the many dead transgenders from depression and suicides, substance abuse, and sexually transmitted diseases were not able to show up to speak at the school board meeting and share an alternative perspective.
Protecting First Amendment Rights and Freedoms for All
While how to properly address the mental illness of Gender Dysphoria is at the heart of debate, the repercussions of implementing Halloween costume parties year round involves the Unconstitutional violation of First Amendment Rights, including the unlawful coercion of speech, assembly, religion, and free press by the government. An off shoot of this is ensuring parental permission is obtained first before participating in the year round Halloween costume party or the ever increasing controversial 80 hour Fairfax County FLE (Sex Ed) program that is filled with propaganda, porn, sickness, and inaccurate medical and health information.
Fortunately, school board members Elizabeth Schultz and Tom Wilson went to the mat advocating at the school board meeting by trying to require parental permission and need to opt in (See https://youtu.be/w66v7m1OtSk?t=7310 ). Unfortunately, the 10 regressive despots on the school board forcefully said they will continue to automatically enroll children unless the parents opt out (even though many parents are completely unaware of what is being taught, are being mislead on the content of the program, and have to go through bureaucratic barriers to obtain information on what is being taught to their children and to then opt out). Regressive School Board Members Setting Back Human Race to the Dark Ages
But the school board was not just happy to continue to force automatic enrollment of children in their ever increasing controversial FLE (Sex Ed) program that few parents know of and understand (especially half the county that is ethnically diverse and socially conservative), the regressives on the school board also voted to approve: - “Sex is assigned at birth” (and can be changed if children feel like it) - teaching and promoting the harmful practice of anal sex - encouraging the use of the unsafe sex drug PrEP - discouraging abstinence by falsely claiming it is not 100% effective - encouraging sex before marriage and promoting permissibility - loosening the dress code standards for students (to avoid “slut shaming”) - moving some content out of FLE and forcing into general health curriculum so parents cannot opt out While the 10 Fairfax despots on the school board may rejoice in their temporary victory in tyranny, they should note that their positions are highly unpopular as the public comments were 9 to 1 against them (See FCPS public feedback results at https://www.boarddocs.com/vsba/fairfax/Board.nsf/files/AZMR875DF349/$file/FLE%20Community%20Review%20Comments%20and%20Summary.pdf ). Many parents do not want fake science, harmful behaviors, and omitted risks and dangers being taught in the schools and for children to be exploited by regressive ideological zealots. The momentum and opportunity is there to run the school board out of town, should parents and citizens seize the day. FLE Imprisoning Children in Half Truths and Lies During the public participation forum of the school board meeting, a mother and member of the FLECAC (named Laura Hanford) who was thrown off the committee in midyear while one of her motions was pending, spoke passionately and persuasively at https://youtu.be/w66v7m1OtSk?t=3669 . Basically, she accuses the school’s rigged FLECAC of manipulating medical definitions and omitting information that an overwhelming majority of Virginia medical professionals do not support their terminology “sex assigned at birth.” She then said the FLECAC is supporting “ideology over biology” (which is dangerous as one probably does not want to go to or use a medical doctor that does not know the basic biological difference between the two sexes of male and female). She then asked politely for the school board to put the same effort into engaging the community input into the FLE program as they did into suppressing discussion of dissent in order to force the harmful changes through. Recent Mother who Delivered Baby Boy says Biological Sex is Not Meaningless A mother name Hope spoke at https://youtu.be/w66v7m1OtSk?t=5250 and said that during the 9 months she was pregnant with her recently born boy, she never heard the doctors or medical professionals doubting the sex of her child during blood tests and sonograms and the boys XY chromosomes. (Nor did they have to sign a waiver of doubt on the boy’s birth certificate, yet). She said she is opposed to the fake science of “sex assigned at birth” as it basically contradicts a person’s sex chromosomes, hormones, internal and external reproductive organs. She said sex is not assigned at birth or any other time. She also said that it is inconceivable that the school board would teach something that is inconsistent with basic biology and science, and the other classes being taught in the public schools. She then said that as a minimum that the school board should require mandatory opt-in and full parental consent of the FLE program (just like they do for a field trip or to be shown a PG-13 movie). She said silence does not equal consent. To understand how extremely dangerous the fake science of “sex is assigned at birth,” please watch the Gender Dysphoric man with the bad hair day who is sitting behind the speaker (in the lower left hand corner of the video screen) as "he adamantly shakes his head NO" when the speaker states the scientifically proven and biological fact that sex is assigned at conception by chromosomes (see https://youtu.be/w66v7m1OtSk?t=5281 ). Do you want this extremely confused man or his disciples teaching science, medicine, and health to your child in school or setting standards for practicing medicine in the State of Virginia? (Oh wait, Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe appointed Gender Dysphoric Dr. Marissa Levine (formerly known as Mark Levine, and now a last place beauty queen contestant) as the Commissioner of Virginia State Health in 2014 (See http://www.massresistance.org/docs/gen2/15a/Virginia-MR-announced/Levine-after.jpg )). I am Woman Hear me Roar A local mother named Monique let the public know that she is proud to be a woman and has civil rights worth protecting (see https://youtu.be/w66v7m1OtSk?t=5663 ). (People may forget that the first feminists were highly religious women fighting for not just women’s rights, but the civil and human rights of African Americans, Indians, Immigrants, and Children. ) She reminded the public that she did not choose to be her sex, but God assigned that to her upon her creation, and science has confirmed this. She would love to be able to compete against men directly, but physical limits caused by biology prevent her. She then relies on the progress of the women’s rights movement, including Title IX protections, that promotes equal opportunities with males (and a leveled playing field) that were created to ensure females do not lose out on opportunities. She then points out that Gender Dysphoric males can never be female (aka, the Big Lie), and pretending otherwise can only unfairly infringe upon her and other women’s civil and human rights and progress. Experimenting on Children is Immoral and May Dramatically Increase Suicide Rates A father named Dave provided a video that pointed out that the FLE is now promoting false and misleading material, including “Sex is assigned at birth” (Seehttps://youtu.be/w66v7m1OtSk?t=5853 ). He stated that children born with ambiguous anatomy are astronomically rare and do represent normal human variation of the two human sexes. He also said scientifically inaccurate as sex is assigned by chromosomes soon after conception occurs and is physically permanent (XX, XY). Lastly, he said that it is deceptively used to portray that people with the rare psychiatric disorder “Gender Dysphoria” can choose their sex if they feel like it. He then pointed out that gender dysphoric adults have astronomical suicide rates if left untreated (at 40%), or even after having transitioning surgeries (at an astronomical 19 times the normal population). He also reported that up to 90% of gender dyshoric children desist and align with their natural biology by adulthood. He then pointed out the dangers of attempting to transition children early, as it may interfere with their ability to naturally desist and result in placing them in the higher suicide rate. Medical Doctor Warns School Board of the Dangers of Promoting Fake Science Another powerful video of a medical doctor stated similar facts (which were officially presented to the school board in a letter by the American College of Pediatricians and its 20,000 members), and laid out the scientific and medical facts regarding Gender Dysphoria, which the school board cannot even state by proper name as they push the innocuous term “gender identity” and avoid the clinical research and impacts to the public. But the school board appears to believe accommodating the feelings of a confused few appears supersede all facts, science, logic, reason, and safety and well-being of others. Welcome to the new Dark Ages. The medical doctor also recommended “risk avoidance” as the best means to reduce the harm to children and promote health through sex ed. Instead the school board prefers a “risk tolerant” approach to sex ed with injury to lots of people in society and ever increasing mortality rates. She said “risk avoidance” is the only 100% means to prevent pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, and emotional disorders. She then said it was medically “negligent” to promote PrEP as a means to reduce sexually transmitted diseases as the full research on children has not been done. (Meanwhile, there is no attempt to recognize or condemn anywhere of the purpose of PrEP is to address the problem of sex between (gay) men and children (aka, pedophilia)). She then said that it is most likely that PrEP will increase the number infected as it gives users a false sense of reduced risk and results in more high risk taking and deadly infections. School Board Members Exploiting Ethnic Minorities and Could Care Less Despite all the incredible speakers and videos against making Halloween Costume Parties year round, the most powerful and disturbing moment may have been when a Muslim American leader was interviewed and testified that many of their religious and ethnic community have no idea what is being taught in the FLE (Sex Ed) program and that the can opt out (See https://youtu.be/w66v7m1OtSk?t=6207 ). This is not only a pervasive serious problem with Muslim Americans, but Latinos, Asian-Americans, African Americans, and many hard working parents who are not able to do research and keep up with the ever changing and controversial FLE (Sex Ed) Program. People should be extremely disturbed and angered that the school system has created a rigged system that automatically enrolls students in 80 hours of ever increasing controversial material at younger and younger ages, unless the parent s opt out (all the while exploiting the uninformed, including large segments of the ethnically diverse population in the county like Muslims, Latinos, Asians, and Africans). Despite the school system engaging in numerous deceptive practices to hide the content of the program and create barriers to make it hard to opt out (like including vague opt out papers in a pile of other papers the first week of school, and telling parents if they have concerns to go do research on their fcps web site). While many busy and hard working parents are being exploited and take advantage of by the school board, it is inconceivable that they would do this to the 50% of the population in Fairfax County that is ethnic minority. Besides confronting the racist and abusive school board, it’s becoming increasing obvious that the only fair and just solution going forward is to ensure informed consent and parental permission (aka, Opt-In). Providing Choice in Fle and alternative sex ed that is not based on fake science and hides risks and dangers is another solution going forward. ACTIONS TO TAKE OVER NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS 1. Email and meet with the 10 regressive school board members who voted for teaching the fake science of “sex assigned at birth,” promoting harmful practice of anal sex, encouraging the use of the unsafe sex drug PrEP, promoting sex before marriage, discouraging abstinence by falsely claiming it is not 100% effective, loosening the dress code standards for students, and blocking attempts to inform parents and obtain their permission before enrolling in the controversial FLE (Sex Ed) program.
